Volunteers are critical to the success of our shelter!
Our volunteer program is comprised of animal lovers who are committed to serving the animals in our care, supporting the staff, the shelter, and our community.
In order for the program and the shelter to be successful, we are looking for volunteers who align with the mission and goals of our shelter.
To best serve the shelter and the animals in our care, our volunteer program is highly structured and requires a weekly commitment.
Upcoming volunteer Orientation
Recruiting volunteers for our annual fundraiser
Walk for Paws!
This year’s event is on October 24th at Eichelman & Wolfenbuttel Park in Kenosha (11am-3pm). We weren’t able to do this event last year, so we’re super excited for this year!
There will be a Walk along the waterfront, and lots family fun games and activities – human and furry!
On October 16th at 10am we’ll be holding a volunteer recruitment/pre-event meeting here at the shelter (7811 60th Ave, Kenosha) for everyone interested in volunteering at the event. We’ll have volunteer position descriptions available, as well as shift times.
We have a variety of volunteer opportunities! (Age restriction for volunteering at the event is 12-15 years with a parent or guardian; 16+ on your own.)
To get signed up for the meeting on October 16th, or if you have any questions about volunteering at the event,
contact Dee at firstname.lastname@example.org.
It’s going to be a great event and an awesome way to help the animals. We look forward to having you join our team!
